Would you like to train in endoscopy or develop gastroenterology skills?

The Gastroenterology Department at the RUH are expanding our teams and are looking for an Endoscopy fellow to start before January 2025.

The successful candidate will have a bespoke flexible timetable to meet their training needs and a great opportunity to train in gastroscopy, colonoscopy or ERCP.

There is flexibility within the role to provide endoscopy training and clinic that can be tailored to previous experience and subspecialty training needs.

There are a large number of educational opportunities available to the successful candidate including specialist MDTs, hepatology clinics, viral hepatitis clinics, nutrition ward rounds, joint obstetric/IBD clinics, pelvic floor clinics, ERCP lists, large polyp lists and regular endoscopy training courses.

Main duties of the job

The role will include outpatient clinics, endoscopy, gastroenterology ward cover and a six month 1 in 14 unselected general medical on call.

The clinical fellow will join the team to cover gastroenterology and/or hepatology. As part of the endoscopy unit development programme the successful candidate will be encouraged to carry out endoscopy audit and develop or participate in a research project.
