Job summary
We are looking to recruit a new EPR Application and Data Quality Analyst. This position will be essential in the administration and maintenance of a variety of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems. The successful candidate will become a member of an established team with an excellent record of providing high quality support and maintaining and improving the RUH's EPR.
The RUH operates an extensive EPR system which affects all aspects of a patient's care and forms the basis for reporting. While, the central EPR system is provided by Cerner Oracle (Millennium), there are several auxiliary systems which interlink and provide specialised services.
We are looking to recruit candidates from a wide range of experiences. Although, previous experience with the NHS, Cerner (Millennium) or other health related software is desirable, it is not essential. However, what is essential is a desire to support users, an interest in hospital systems and a drive to support patient care. You will need an analytical mind, be able to work independently in an organised yet flexible manner and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
The EPR Application and Data Quality Analysts are responsible for:
- Administering and helping maintain the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR)
- User set up
- Providing end user assistance with queries, problems, and data quality issues.
- Resolving errors in data quality
All of the above require the development of close working relationships with teams across IM&T and the wider Trust, as part of this you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain issues to both technical and non-technical individuals. In addition, due to the breadth of the EPR and the range of systems requiring support, you will need to be a fast learner, with the ability to understand complex systems and requirements quickly.
