This is a full time Consultant in Ophthalmology post at the Royal United Hospital Bath. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a dynamic team of Consultants.
The post is for a replacement consultant to join the team of 7 consultants. A special interest in Oculoplastics is desirable, although other special interest to complement the department would be considered.

The Royal United Hospital in the beautiful city of Bath is looking for an Ophthalmologist pending the appointment of a substantive post. We are a friendly, busy team who would welcome a new colleague. The department is purpose build and well equipped. We are looking for someone who can work independently, is ready to learn how our department works but will be supported by an experienced team of colleagues. We looking for Consultant Ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in Oculoplastics.
Applicants must be registered with the GMC.

- FRCOphth or equivalent. Completion of or near completion of higher specialist training
- Full Registration with a licence to practice with the GMC
- Entry on Specialist Register (or entry expected within six months of interview date)

- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in ophthalmology
- Competent to perform high volume cataract surgery

- Experience commensurate with H.S.T.
