Ward Clerk - Surgical Assessment Unit

Job summary
Ward Clerk / Receptionist for a busy Surgical Admissions Unit. You will be the first person patients, relatives and ward visitors see. You will be responsible for the admission, transfer and discharge of patients on the hospital electronic system (millennium) and the tracking of their notes.
You will work alongside the ward coordinator and will be responsible for keeping the ward whiteboards up to date, answering any queries either in person or over the telephone.
Main duties of the job
To provide a full comprehensive administrative and clerical service in support of the multidisciplinary team involved in patient care on a ward.
