Job summary
The new role of Accommodation and Switchboard Manager has been created to lead, support and develop our accommodation and switchboard services.
Switchboard is often the first point of contact caller to the hospital have, and welcoming, friendly and helpful service is key. The team have a wide range of responsibilities, including dealing with emergency calls, alarms, on-call rotas, key issuing and bleep batteries and replacements.
Staff accommodation is available on-site and in two off-site leased buildings, which is available to rent by any RUH staff. Short-term rentals are also available, and accommodation is required by staff when on-call.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and support the switchboard team to develop and improve their service, making efficiencies in processes and improving resilience planning.
Within accommodation, the post holder will manage and market the service, improving occupancy and reviewing demand to ensure staff who need accommodation with the Trust can be accommodated.
The post holder will be the budget holder for both accommodation and switchboard, and will lead on revenue generation and savings improvements.
