Associate Director of Estates & Facilities

Job summary

The Director of Estates & Facilities is seeking to appoint to the permanent role of Associate Director of Estates & Facilities.

An exciting and dynamic opportunity to support the Director and Deputy Director with day-to-day responsibilities for the RUH Estates & Facilities teams in the delivery of safe and effective services whilst improving innovation, delivering efficiencies and service improvement, and defining strategic direction and priorities.

The Associate Director of Estates and Facilities provides a key role delivering Estates and Facilities services to the Trust, via senior leadership with an operational and people focus. The role will ensure delivery of high quality, patient focused services via an empowered, pro-active team with positive culture, equally prepared and capable of responding to internal and external demands and future operational service needs.

Positioned alongside the Deputy Director of Estates & Facilities, the role will complement the Deputy Director, with the Associate Director having a workforce and operational focus for the portfolio (while the Deputy Director has a Trust Board and strategic focus).

The role will ensure successful operational performance across the portfolio and a positive, inclusive, and outstanding culture. The post holder will work closely with departmental Heads and Service leads to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality services, budgetary performance, empowered and highly motivated delivery teams.

Main duties of the job

The Estates and Facilities portfolio is responsible for the delivery of high quality, progressive and responsive Hard and Soft FM services to the RUH campus at Combe Park, Bath (and indirectly to satellite RUH service locations).
