Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly ENT Service as a Specialty Doctor. You will support the wider team in both on call and scheduled duties.

The job will be flexible to support the service requirements of the department; this may include work in otology, rhinology, paediatric ENT, head and neck including 2WW outpatients, depending on the needs of the department and the skills and experience of the applicant. The successful candidate may have a sub-specialist interest in one of these areas. A job plan will be determined on the basis of alignment to these sub-specialist interests.

The ENT department is a friendly and well supported department. Applicants should expect to work hard with appropriate support and departmental development. The department is looking for practical, hard-working, friendly, patient oriented doctors to join a hard-working team for the benefit of our patients.

Main duties of the job

Elective out-patient management of general ENT conditions

Involved in surgical management of elective and emergency ENT conditions

Involved in regular ward rounds and care of elective and emergency in-patients

Develop a special interest to fit the needs of the department

Support and supervise junior doctors
