This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as our new Individual Giving Officer. This brand new role will support the delivery of Individual Giving and Donations in Memory campaigns across acquisition and retention of new supporters including door drops, direct mail appeals, digital, staff lottery, stewardship materials and supporter journeys.

Main duties of the job

No two days in our team are the same and we are flexible about where you work. We split our time evenly between working at home and in the office as well as being out and about in our community. You will need bags of initiative, creativity, be innovative, brave and positive.

You will be responsible for marketing campaign planning, testing, creative development, researching content and images for new appeals, agency management and delivery, making sure that any appeal is run efficiently and effectively from start to finish.

You will play a key role in developing digital fundraising activities within the charity to maximise income, supporter acquisition and retention through digital channels, including social media. Support engaging content creation, frictionless donations on digital channels, and the RUHX website content management system

It would be great if you have experience in fundraising and/or marketing with experience of digital and off line channels. We will help support you to develop a career in the charity sector whilst being part of an ambitious team going further to give every patient the extra extraordinary care they deserve in in our community.

  • Educated to graduate level or equivalent, appropriate work experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent standard of English, both written, spoken and grammar

  • Business / charity marketing, sales or fundraising qualification

Knowledge

Essential

  • o2 years experience of working in individual giving and/ or digital fundraising including managing and delivering recruitment & retention projects and from initiation to completion on own.
  • Experience of leading on the design and production of high quality marketing materials and resources to support individual giving, donation in memory and other digital fundraising activities
  • Experience in developing and delivering marketing plans including charity media relations, social media and digital marketing.
  • Knowledge and experience of social media, website content management systems, google analytics and Raisers EdgeNXT relationship management database.
  • Experience of team working in a fundraising team and hybrid office/ remote working environment.

  • Experience of working in NHS
  • Experience of setting, managing and reporting on income and expenditure budgets.
  • Sound understanding of charity law, GDPR, fundraising regulations and best practice relating to individual giving, donations in memory, regular giving and mid-value giving.
