Job summary
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the crucial role clinical trials play in the development of cutting-edge treatments and their impact on patient care. We are a small but actively expanding Pharmacy clinical trials team. We need an enthusiastic and motivated person with excellent organisational skills to support us to manage and develop our pharmacy clinical trials service.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes the Research and Development department, Pharmacy colleagues, representatives of international pharmaceutical companies, charities and universities who sponsor clinical research conducted within the Trust. Your role will be important in helping provide a dedicated pharmacy clinical trials service through management of all administration which comes through the department, involvement with all aspects of investigational medicinal products management, assisting in the set-up of new studies and liaising with colleagues in a wide variety of specialities. You will also be required to perform a variety of general pharmacy duties following training on each of these.
To be successful you must have excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, be reliable, flexible and able to work on your own initiative as well as providing support to the clinical trials pharmacy team when required.
