Main duties of the job
Duties include providing IT support to customers of IT Services and other technical teams ensuring systems are maintained and supported to the highest standards. To ensure that all support calls and requests are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with defined policies and procedures. In addition, the post holder will assist in configuration, testing and upgrades of all IT systems and will ensure the continued improvement of data quality throughout the Trust. Required to prioritise own workload. This will happen on a daily basis due to the nature of work and interruptions required to deal with unplanned events. Work outside of normal working hours to undertake specific duties that will ensure the uninterrupted delivery of patient care.
You will be the kind of person who is comfortable engaging constructively with technical, non-technical and clinical colleagues both within and outside the Trust. The IT Support Team provides a critical service to Trust computer users including the replacement or repair of key equipment with minimal impact in areas where patient care is delivered. This role is instrumental in ensuring continuity of service and the availability of clinical and patient administration systems within the Trust and the local health community
