Job summary
Are you dynamic and motivated, innovative and compassionate Nurse, Social Worker or Allied Health Professional with extensive adults safeguarding experience within the NHS?
This is a key role within our growing team, and you will be a highly skilled, visible professional with proven leadership experience. With the leadership and support of the Associate Director of Safeguarding, as the Named practitioner, you will drive the Trusts operational and strategic adult safeguarding agenda. Collaborating with your safeguarding colleagues to ensure that the Trust is represented at local safeguarding partnerships, subgroups meetings.
You will embed gold standard practice, ensuring high quality and good compliance with training and education programs across the Trust. You will participate in the peer review accreditation program.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead on all issues relating to safeguarding adults across the Trust
- Work with the Chief and Deputy Chief Nurse, Associate Director of Safeguarding, Named Doctor Adult Safeguarding, Named Nurse for Children's safeguarding and Lead Professional for MCA/ LPS to take a lead in all strategic planning and development relating to the protection and welfare of adults
- To be a highly visible senior practitioner, providing specialist knowledge, advice and clinical expertise to all staff in the Trust in all areas of safeguarding adults.
- Advise the Trust to ensure it appropriately discharges and fulfils its safeguarding inter-agency obligations
- To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and partner agencies to ensure adults who come into contact with the Trust are safeguarded and their welfare promoted
- To provide specialist knowledge and expertise in adult safeguarding, Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty to all Trust employees
- To develop and deliver inter-professional training in safeguarding, domestic abuse, modern slavery and Prevent across the Trust
- Line management responsibilities for the Specialist Practitioner, Adult Safeguarding, Specialist Practitioner, Learning Disabilities and Autism, Support Worker, Learning Disabilities and Autism, Practitioner, Domestic Violence and Abuse and administrator
