Job summary

We are seeking to employ a Chaplain within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn Foundation Trust, and are looking for someone who is prepared to work with patients, visitors and staff, whatever their cultural and faith tradition for the purpose of pastoral, spiritual and religious care. The successful candidate will have to work independently so chaplaincy experience is essential. We are looking for someone who understands the complexities of working in a team and will enjoy the challenges of chaplaincy in a district general hospital.

15.0 per week plus rotational on call provision (one weekend in four - on call until 21:00 on Saturdays and Sundays).

Main duties of the job

To visit patients that have been referred to the Chaplaincy team and to be able to connect with patients staff or relatives throughout the hospital, who require support or a listening ear.

To be able to respond appropriately to people in intense emotional situations, whether they have a specific faith or not.

To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work
