Job summary

Apprentices will be allocated to one specific area; you will experience working across both internal and external placements to gain an appreciation of the different area of local healthcare service to meet the NMC requirements. There will also be set time to attend academic study. Apprentices will acquire clinical skills relevant to the banding at which they are working and deliver independent care to our patients under the supervision of qualified staff, supervisors, and assessors.

Main duties of the job

To complete a work-based pre-registration nursing apprenticeship programme delivered by an 'Approved Education Institute' (AEI). Maintaining the standards set out in the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC,2010) and the institute of Apprenticeships to obtain a Registered Nursing Apprenticeship qualification. Apprentices will work in a supported learning environment to develop their skills, competencies, and knowledge, which will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and progress in their future employment.
