Job summary
Lead the Financial Improvement team, managing the selection, prioritisation and control of projects and programmes in line with the Trust's Financial Improvement objectives and capacity to deliver.
Coordinate the Trust's Cost Improvement programme, including liaising with Workstream and Divisional Leads, challenging progress, monitoring emerging risks and issues and reporting progress to the Financial improvement Board.
Maintain the Financial Improvement Governance arrangements in line with best practice. Escalate Workstream issues to the executive sponsor and programme risks to the Financial Improvement Board. Drive reform and support change and uptake of initiatives that support excellence.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be required to build and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues.
- Drive and challenge each key working relationship to innovate with drive reform to achieve agreed objectives
- Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, including presenting information about projects and dependencies to a wide range of internal stakeholders in formal settings.
- Manage potentially aggressive and/or antagonistic situations with staff and stakeholders within change programmes for successful outcomes.
- Deal with complex and conflicting subject matter problems or in day to day workload in workshops, meetings, one on one communications and other events, comprising various parts of the business.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King's Lynn is West Norfolk has a superb unspoilt coastline with pretty villages, all with their own individual charm. The medieval port of King's Lynn has some very interesting architecture.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist and general acute services to around 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers and approximately 500 beds on a single site. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech. We work in partnership with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services.
In February 2022 the QEH the Care Quality Commission rated the Trust as 'Good' in all of the core services they inspected, and recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
