Amber Lodge is a specialist CAMHS day unit providing therapeutic care for up to eight children and young people with complex mental health needs. We're looking for a Clinical Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care within our supportive, multi-disciplinary team. You'll help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports young people and their families through recovery and development.
About You:
- NVQ level 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience
- Health care support worker certificate - Children's and Young people's mental health in patient setting.
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Clinical nurse Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Build compassionate, therapeutic relationships with children and young people, supporting them through emotional distress and helping them feel safe.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, including routine observations, risk reporting and supporting care plans.
- Use de-escalation skills to support young people during challenging moments (full training provided).
- Act as an advocate for young people and their families, ensuring their voices are heard in care planning.
