An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedPaediatric Nurse to join our dedicated Diabetes Nursing Team. This post is offering the chance to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment delivering specialist care to children, young people, and their families.
About You
- RSCN/RN Child
- ENB 998, or equivalent Teaching & Assessing Qualification
- Experience in nursing care of children with Diabetes conditions
- In possession of afull and clear driving licence
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Matron, some of your responsibilities will include:

Provide specialist diabetes care and education to children, young people, and families.

Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, demonstrating motivation, organisation, and excellent communication skills.

Liaise with schools, GPs, and community nursing teams to ensure continuity of care.

Deliver education to other healthcare professionals.
-
Progress towards running nurse-led consultations following training and consolidation.

Share responsibility for leading and managing the Diabetes Nursing Team, contributing to service development.

Support young people in preparing for transition to adult services.
