Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic dietitian looking to specialise in a rewarding area of paediatric care? Join our Paediatric Home Enteral Feeding (HEF) team at Sheffield Children's and make a difference to children and families across the Sheffield community.

You'll work as part of a supportive team, delivering specialist dietetic care in homes, schools, clinics, and remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialist area, with full training and support provided.

About You:

  • BSc/MSc in Nutrition & Dietetics or Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics

  • HCPC registered dietitian

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential for community visits)

  • Experience in paediatrics and/or home enteral feeding is desirable, but not essential

  • A caring, patient-centred approach

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Dietetic Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a caseload of community patients, and telephone consultations, providing dietetic advice and developing personalised care plans.

  • Assess nutritional needs, prescribe treatment, and collaborate with MDTs to adjust care plans.

  • Maintain accurate records, support safe patient care, and collaborate with relevant agencies .

  • Deliver high-quality education to healthcare professionals, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning needs, including communication and psychological challenges.

  • Participate in clinical audits, review new research, and contribute to the development of evidence-based dietetic procedures.

  • Communicate complex or sensitive information, using counselling skills to build rapport and adapt methods to ensure understanding across diverse needs.
