We are looking for an organised and empathetic individual to provide essential administrative support to both the Safeguarding Assessment Team and the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). You will support safeguarding consultants, manage confidential information, and help ensure a responsive, professional service for children, families, and partner agencies.

The Safeguarding Team works within the Trust to support systems that allow effective multi-agency collaboration in protecting children and young people at risk of abuse.

About You:

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with prior administrative or secretarial experience.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a calm and empathetic approach to sensitive and potentially distressing situations.

  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding principles, and data protection.

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Operational Manager, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver comprehensive secretarial support, including accurate typing of sensitive medical and safeguarding documentation.

  • Maintain clinical records and internal databases to support case tracking and audits.

  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, admissions, and related logistics for patients and consultants.

  • Be a first contact for sensitive enquiries from families, professionals, and external agencies.

  • Manage consultants' diaries and administrative tasks, including travel and meeting preparation.

  • Support referral triage and case management following safeguarding and SARC protocols.
