We are excited to welcome Senior Children's Wellbeing Practitioner/s (CWP) to join our Lucy Project team, where you will provide high-quality, low-intensity psychological therapies to children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate emotional and mental health concerns.
About You

Postgraduate qualification as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).

Registration with BABCP or BPS as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.

CWP Supervisors (PGCert) or equivalent experience

Experience working with young people facing common mental health issues.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Principal Clinical Psychologist, your responsibilities will include:

Deliver psychological interventions, including CBT and self-help techniques.

Provide support to families to ensure participation in treatment and involvement in the therapeutic process.

Collaborate with community and external services to ensure holistic support for CYP and their families.

Supervise and provide training to junior team members, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.

Work with senior clinical and managerial teams to contribute to the development and expansion of early intervention services.

- Proven ability to develop and deliver evidenced-based IAPT low intensity interventions, including group psycho-education and guided self-help.
- Experience working in multiprofessional or multi-agency teams, demonstrating effective collaboration across different services to provide holistic support
Desirable
- Experience supervising Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioners and working with universities to support trainees.
Knowledge and Skills

- Ability to assess patients' emotional wellbeing and mental health needs and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Understanding of the scope and limitations of LI CBT, with the ability to support patients in accessing alternative treatments when appropriate
- Awareness of the systemic barriers to accessing mental health services, with a commitment to mitigating these barriers where possible
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit both clinical and non-clinical situations, and to meet patients' individual needs
- Understanding of models of supervision to effectively develop skills and techniques within a CWP supervisory role
