We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Operating Theatre Department, where you will help ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for both patients and staff. You will support patient care teams, coordinate with facilities services, and perform a variety of non-clinical tasks to uphold standards of hygiene and safety.
This is a full-time role across three days a week:

Fixed days: Tuesday and Thursday (07:00-20:00)

Flexible third day (07:00-20:00) to be agreed with you (Mon, Wed, or Fri)
About You:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience

Previous experience in a domestic or housekeeping role

Experience maintaining safe and hygienic environments

Main duties of the job
You will report to the Theatre Manager, and your responsibilities will include:

Maintain cleanliness and order in theatres and staff areas

Remove clutter and ensure the environment is safe

Clean general and specialist equipment
-
Put away and check daily linen deliveries
-
Support patient care teams by preparing and maintaining a suitable environment
-
Communicate with estates, facilities, and support teams for maintenance and services
-
Report and act on any deficiencies in cleaning or standards
-
Help with specific non-clinical patient needs as directed by the nurse in charge
