Job summary

Permanent | Full-time - 11.5 hour shifts

We are looking for a Deputy Clinical Nurse Manager to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. You will work with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Unit, and provide support to the nursing team. You will play an important role in the delivery of high-quality care to young people and families, promoting clinical governance, and contributing to care planning and assessment.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Clinical Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the team to develop and implement tailored care plans for young people

  • Step in for the Clinical Nurse Manager in their absence

  • Help with the day-to-day management of the Unit

  • Provide direction to the nursing team

  • Offer clinical advice and support during shifts

  • Promote best practices in clinical governance, risk management, and health and safety

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in clinical practice
