An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Paediatric Radiology Department. As MRI Lead Radiographer, you will help ensure the delivery of high-quality MRI imaging services. You will lead the daily operations of our MRI unit, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and imaging quality, while managing patient flow and promoting clinical excellence. You'll be part of a collaborative team and help improve service delivery by enhancing operational efficiency and patient care.
About Us: We provide a full range of medical, surgical, and mental health services for children in Sheffield and South Yorkshire, with additional services for patients from beyond the region. Our Paediatric MRI Department is equipped with advanced imaging technologies, including Intra-Operative 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners. We work with our Paediatric and Research teams to ensure the best care and outcomes for our young patients.
About You:
You will have a passion for paediatric imaging and the leadership skills to manage and motivate a team. With a background in MRI, you are committed to patient care and continuous improvement. You will have a postgraduate qualification in MRI (or equivalent experience) and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Radiology Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Oversee the daily operations of the MRI unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging services.

Lead the MRI team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety guidelines to uphold patient safety.

Manage patient flow and ensure clinical excellence in all MRI procedures.

Work with the Radiology Management team to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise workflow and patient care.
