We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Family Care Nurse to join our PCCU team, providing specialised care for children and young people requiring intensive treatment. Working with the Lead Nurse, you will offer practical and emotional support to families, addressing their psychosocial needs from admission through to discharge, while ensuring the highest standards of care.
About You:
As a Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RN(Child)), with experience in Paediatric Critical Care and leadership roles such as Team Leader, Shift Coordinator or Charge Nurse, you are passionate about supporting both families and staff. Your leadership and clinical expertise will help drive the success of the team and ensure excellent care.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Lead Nurse (PCCU), your responsibilities will include:

Provide emotional and practical support to families and carers of children and young people in PCCU, assessing and addressing the psychosocial needs of families from admission to discharge.

Help implement evidence-based, patient-focused care

Provide professional nursing/operational support and advice on family and carer concerns, ensuring the environment is conducive to high-quality care.

Educate and support PCCU staff in meeting the complex needs of families, ensuring a compassionate and family-centred approach to care.
