We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to join our Surgery and Critical Care team. You will support the Deputy Divisional Managers in the planning, delivery, and performance monitoring of all surgical services, including the management of the paediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, and the Embrace paediatric transfer service.

About You

You will have management experience in a complex organisation, alongside a first degree (or equivalent relevant qualification). You will have comprehensive knowledge of current national health policies and NHS issues, combined with leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Deputy Divisional Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operationally manage surgical services within the Care Group
  • Manage performance to ensure the achievement of national and local goals.
  • Oversee clinical and non-clinical planning, project management, and development of business cases.
  • Work with Care Group teams to ensure efficient resource utilisation and service delivery.
  • Help develop systems to measure departmental performance.
