We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for two Clinical Fellows in Paediatric Anaesthesia to join our team, based at Sheffield Children's. If you are unable to work full-time, you are still eligible to apply, and the job content can be adjusted, subject to discussion.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Anaesthesia Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work within a team of 25 Paediatric Consultants, 2 Clinical Fellows, and 8 specialty trainees.

  • Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency cases in the theatre.

  • Participate in the trainee on-call rota, in compliance with EWTD.

Specialty trainees from the Yorkshire and Humber School of Anaesthesia rotate through Sheffield Children's Hospital (SCH) for a 3-month intermediate module during ST3 or ST4, followed by a 3-month higher module during ST5 or ST6. Trainees also have the option to return in ST7 for an additional 6-month advanced paediatric anaesthesia training module.
