This is a 6 month secondment opportunity with the potential for the hours to be extended (or become permanent). Full training and support will be given.
There is an out of hours/on call expectation to cover the forensic SARC on call rota (7 days a week 52 weeks a year) as part of the team of health care support workers/crisis workers.
Main duties of the job

The Clinical Support Worker will undertake a range of individualised clinical care duties to children, young people and their families as delegated by qualified nurses or practitioners, including medical staff or the multi-disciplinary team.
Acting on their own initiative and accessing supervision as required, the post holder will also hold responsibility of clerical and administrative duties, stock maintenance and for the care, cleaning and management of equipment. In addition, the post holder will contribute to service development and promoting care in a safe environment.
The post holder will be part of the on call out of hours rota for the SARC service.
Interested applicants can gain an insight into the nature of the work undertaken within a SARC and develop an understanding of what a medical examination for child sexual abuse concerns involves by visiting the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse and viewing the video they have developed.
