Do you have experience supporting breastfeeding mothers and have you completed infant feeding training? Are you up to date with the Baby Friendly Standards and eager to contribute to the Baby Friendly Initiative?
If so, we want you to join our team!
We are looking for someone who is dedicated, compassionate and eager to develop their infant feeding skills. You'll work as part of a small, supportive team, assisting qualified nurses in delivering high-quality infant feeding support to babies and families.
You will mostly work weekdays, with occasional weekend shifts for holiday cover and training. Flexible working and job share options will be considered.
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Infant Feeding Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Assist qualified nurses in delivering infant feeding support to babies and children.

Work within the multidisciplinary team to enhance care and promote safe practices.

Support mothers in making informed infant feeding choices, promoting partnership in care.

Contribute to the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative audit process.

Maintain infant feeding resources, documentation, and communication boards across clinical areas.

Promote breastfeeding within the hospital and community, including initiatives like Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

Support the team in their clinical role e.g. follow-up support

Stay updated on current infant feeding practices and developments.
