Locum Consultant Paediatric Urologist - Department of Paediatric Surgery
10 PA Full-Time, 12-Month Locum Contract
We are looking for a dedicated Locum Consultant Paediatric Urologist to join our team for a 12-month period. You will work with two experienced urologists, providing expert care to children and young people across Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
We offer flexibility with on-call duties, including job share options or full general paediatric surgical on-call. There is also the possibility to negotiate no on-call requirements by making up PAs with weekend work, extended days, and contributions to clinics where travel is necessary.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Urology Team Lead , your responsibilities will include:

Focus on elective urology cases, while also contributing to general paediatric surgery during working hours and as part of the on-call rota.

Provide cover for urological emergencies during on-call shifts, and assist with emergencies on an ad-hoc basis when needed.

In addition to urology expertise, you must be trained in all aspects of emergency general paediatric surgery, including neonatal surgery.

If opting for a part-time contract, you must devote substantially the whole of your professional time to the responsibilities of the role.
Requirements:

You must have, or be within six months of obtaining, CCST in Paediatric Surgery by the time of appointment.

Relevant experience in a dedicated paediatric and neonatal surgical unit.

Post-CCST Urology Fellowship training.
