Job summary
We are looking for a speech and language therapist to join our paediatric deaf team for 1.5 days a week on a permanent basis. You will be part of a small specialist team including a band 8a and band 7 therapist, working within the much larger mainstream schools team.
Main duties of the job
The role is to provide specialist support for children and young people aged 0 - 16 years who are Deaf, and their families. You will work across a range of settings, including homes, clinics, and educational settings, including integrated resources.

- Relevant professional qualification (1st degree level or equivalent)
- Registered member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and Health Care Professions Council

- Evidence of continuing professional development in the area of working with children and young people who are Deaf
- CACDP/Signature Level 1 British Sign Language Certificate
- Completed "Working with d/Deaf People: Foundation course" (CSD Consultants/Course Beetle)
