Education Administrative Assistant

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

The closing date is 23 December 2024

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Disability Distance Learning Team within the Medical Education Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are pleased to offer a 0.4 WTE post (15 hours) where you will provide comprehensive and high-quality administrative support to the delivery of our distance learning course, both the Neuro-disability Diploma and the related standalone courses that we offer nationally and internationally.

The suggested working pattern is three 5 hour days, one of which must be a Thursday, with the other two days being negotiable. However, we are happy to have conversations and negotiate the working pattern with the successful candidate. The majority of our learning sessions and meetings take place on a Thursday at the current time hence our request for this day to be covered.

Main duties of the job

Duties include supporting the organisation and promotion of the Neuro-disability Diploma and related standalone courses, online learning and attendance at relevant meetings.

You will support the marking process for submitted assignments, including inputting and sharing of results with students. You will work closely with the Education Manager and Education Administrator and be the first point of contact for all course and general enquiries when managing the inbox.

You will have regular exposure to confidential material and will require a high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in dealing with internal and external contacts in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills are essential along with the ability to work independently, using your own initiative whilst having the ability to work as part of a team and interact with staff at all levels. Attention to detail is a must and you will be expected to have proven high-quality IT skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but enthusiastic and busy team in supporting the Education function in the Trust.
