Career Opportunity in Finance - Join our Income and Costing Team!
Sheffield Children's is looking for a Support Cost Accountant to join our Income and Costing team. You will assist the Principal Income and Costing Accountant in managing the Trust's Patient Level Costing (PLICS) model, ensuring accurate internal reporting and submission of national cost collections.
You will maintain the Trust's costing software, ensure accurate data input and cost allocation updates, and produce costed outputs for both internal and external reporting. Additionally, you will help keep the cost model current with industry best practices and analyse data to support decision-making across services.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Principal Income and Cost Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Maintain the costing system, ensuring data accuracy and cost allocation.

Produce and distribute costing reports for our internal and external partners.

Manage our Business Intelligence and Data Visualisation dashboards, investigate outliers, and ensure report accuracy. Administer user access and licence records.

Ensure system updates and maintain audit-compliant documentation.

Attend costing meetings and support benchmarking efforts.

Provide training on costing dashboards and collaborate to resolve issues.

Analyse cost data to support the Trust's Value Improvement Process.

Stay current with costing standards and participate in relevant forums.

Support the Trust's goals by promoting accurate costing data and clinical engagement.
