Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is excited to offer training opportunities in partnership with University of Sheffield to become a Nursing Associate. Training will commence 31st March 2025.

This training in nursing leads to a nationally recognised qualification following a scheduled apprenticeship training programme over a 2 year period.

As a trainee you will be employed as a Band 3 Student Nursing Associate to a nationally agreed job description.

Main duties of the job

The training programme is Level 5 Foundation Degree delivered by The University of Sheffield. On successful completion of the training, you will have a recognised qualification as a Nursing Associate. Trainees will wear a dedicated uniform (where applicable) in training.

The trainee will have a base placement within Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. There will be opportunity to gain further experience across other NHS Trusts and Health providers within Sheffield through alternative placements as part of the program curriculum.

  • Functional skills English and maths level 2 or GCSE English and maths grades A*/9 - C/4.
  • Committed to undertaking the study skills course prior to commencement of training in their own time.
