An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Spinal team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Spinal Nursing Administrator working 21 hours per week.

The post-holder will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. They will share the Trust values and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The post-holder will work alongside the spinal nurses ensuring an efficient and effective service. You will also work closely with the spinal consultants and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include;

  • Assisting in the everyday work of the spinal nurses
  • Organisation of office work e.g. photocopying, updating and logging records, general paperwork
  • Involvement in spinal patients' pathways, results, appointments, updating patient records
  • Computer work; emails, using the Trust's systems i.e. Careflow and EDMS, spinal team computer records
  • Communication with families and other professionals; internal and external

  • Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths, or equivalent NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service; or NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 12 months clerical experience gained from working within a busy office environment.
  • Experience of dealing with the general public, working in a team environment and using computer systems.

Desirable

  • Experience with NHS software
  • Experience with working with confidential material
