This is a 12 month fixed term secondment for 0.8WTE at Band 8a to support and lead both PMH and CWPs.
The main focus of the post will be to review and drive strategic change in line with Team CAMHS service improvement needs and city wide developments as part of the Early Help offer from the Local Authority.
As part of PMH team, you will be expected to have enhanced clinical skills and knowledge to carry out triage and trusted assessments as part of the interface for Community CAMHS pathways, and act as an advocate for mental health services with partner agencies.
You will also lead and support the CWPs, facilitating delivery and development of a robust and clear Low Intensity CBT clinical model.
You will liaise with the Senior Management Team and Clinical Leads to ensure that service delivery and improvements are aligned with system changes.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder has operational responsibility for Primary Mental Health and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.
- Provision of developing mental health knowledge and skills with multi-agency colleagues.
- Lead on the service delivery on behalf of the team.
- Provide clinical leadership, specialist clinical advice on the assessment, interventions and clinical management strategies for children and young people.
- Lead in the demonstration of skills within assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care / treatment for children and young people.
- Offer advice and consultation on patient care to mental health colleagues and to multi-agency partners.
- Ensure the development of an effective interface and collaborative working between the service and the wider network and multi-agency partners.
- Offer clinical supervision to other clinicians in the team.
- Provide line management for the team.
- Lead on and ensure that the guiding principles of clinical governance are in place and utilised.
- Contribute to assuring service quality.
- Use and maintain skilled standards of personal professional clinical practice in the treatment modalities required by the children and young people and be a resource to the service developing and embedding skills to multi-agency staff.
