Job summary

This vacancy is open to Internal Applicants only.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Outpatient administration teamat Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Booking Co-ordinators.

We have 2x permanent roles and 1x fixed term role available.

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication & team-working skills. You will have the ability to work to a high standard of accuracy using varying computer software and information systems in a fast-paced environment.

The post holders will be compassionate, accountable individuals who treat all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. They will share the Trust values and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Main duties of the job

To provide efficient and effective clerical services to the bookings team. The post holder will be expected to prioritise their own workload to ensure that registration of all referrals and booking of appointments are in line with the Trust's waiting time standards and the Trust's Patient Access Policy seeking reference from the Supervisor as required.

The post holder will work to defined working procedures to maximise effective use of clinic capacity and help ensure that the Trust meets local and national waiting time targets.

A significant responsibility of the role is to accurately record information on to systems and maintain patient appointment information submitted to the Trust.

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent acquired through experience
