Job summary

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust are in the exciting position to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated specialist pharmacist for gastroenterology.

We are seeking a confident pharmacist with enthusiasm, drive and excellent communication skills to work alongside our experienced gastroenterology pharmacist and gastroenterology multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate should have a broad range of clinical knowledge and the ambition to develop this role.

This post would be suitable for a clinically trained Band 7 with hospital experience looking to develop. Paediatric experience would be desirable but is not essential as training will be provided. The post holder must either be an independent prescriber or willing to undertake the necessary training to become one.

Main duties of the job

To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to the Gastroenterology specialityin order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of drugs.

To participate in the pharmaceutical services of the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. These services include clinical pharmacy, aseptic services and in-patient services.

You will be expected to take part in the weekend and bank holiday and out of hour emergency duty service.

  • Postgraduate diploma qualification in clinical pharmacy (or relevant experience)
