An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Respiratory Physiology Teamat Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be a key member of the Respiratory Physiology service, who provide simple and complex diagnostic tests to help treat children & young people who have respiratory disease such as asthma or cystic fibrosis. The Respiratory Physiology team are a fantastic team, who will provide all the training and support required so that you will be able to deliver diagnostic testing independently and confidently.
The Respiratory Physiology Assistant will deliver simple lung function tests tests such as spirometry, oxygen saturation and end tidal carbon dioxide monitoring and also provide comprehensive administrative support to the team.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for daily calibration of the equipment.
- To be responsible for hospital (SCH & NGH) based routine spirometry, reversibility testing, FeNO and nNO testing under supervision of the Respiratory Physiologist.
- To provide routine spirometry in a number of Consultant led out-patient respiratory clinics.
- To provide a comprehensive administrative roll within the Action Laboratory and clinics, making appointments, inputting data into a database of test results, keeping an inventory of equipment, monitoring and ordering supplies and equipment, sending out letters / reports and answering the phone.
- To maintain a clean and well organised laboratory.
