Job summary

Applications are invited for thefollowing Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowshipsat Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust with the following start and end dates inclusive.

  1. Paediatric Orthopaedics and Trauma Fellowship - Commencing April 2024 - October 2024: Six months

Main duties of the job

Experience can be gained in a wide range of Paediatric Orthopaedics with the exception of malignant bone tumours. You will receive training in the management of Paediatric Orthopedic conditions in general and the department prides itself in well-developed sub specialties in all areas. The department has well established ultrasound screening in DDH, the Ponseti management of clubfeet, the treatment of neuromuscular disorders with gait analysis , limb reconstruction, skeletal dysplasia, young adult hip preservation and soft tissue knee reconstructive surgery.

  • Registered with GMC, FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent training experience

  • Validated logbook/appraisal document indicating appropriate operative experience
  • Completed basic surgical training in posts approved by the Surgical Royal College or approved oversees equivalent
  • Competence in pre-operative and post operative management
  • Demonstrated commitment to Paediatric Orthopaedics

  • Evidence of participation or enthusiasm for audit
