Part of the Trust's Digital Services, we are a small, well- structured and friendly team working from a centralized office with the option of working from home and flexible hours.

Main duties of the job

We are now looking for a Clinical Coding Team Manager to assist the senior leadership to deliver an exceptional service for the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, confident coder looking to progress their career to the next level. You will be passionate about coding, be an Accredited Clinical Coder (or equivalent level of experience) with leadership qualities, and enthusiasm and drive to motivate our team of coders. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the coding staff with a view to the smooth running of the department to meet monthly deadlines.

You should have proven ability to prioritise, plan, organise your workload and work under pressure if required. You will be expected to work closely with the Clinical Coding Manager and Clinical Coding Engagement Leads to promote the importance of the coding strategic plan to make Sheffield Children's a centre of excellence for paediatric clinical coding. You will be passionate about service improvement and actively participate in the Trust's health record digitization plan to facilitate an EPR that supports high quality clinical coding.
