Job summary
We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Arts Psychotherapist (Art, Music or Drama therapist) to join our inpatient CAMHS team .
We have 3 lodges providing care and treatment for young people who require inpatient admission; Sapphire (13-18 years), Emerald (under 13) and Ruby Lodge (under 8-18 CAMHS LD). Our young people have a variety of complex presentations and therefore we are keen to recruit practitioners who have some knowledge and experience of working with highly distressed young people and their families. The therapeutic milieu is an essential part of our service and the successful applicant will be able to contribute flexibly to this. We are looking for someone who can work creatively to engage young people in individual and group therapies when appropriate as part of MDT care and treatment.
The post holder will be primarily based on Sapphire Lodge with some cross lodge working. The successful post holder will join a strong group of Psychological Professionals within the inpatient team including (Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, Art Psychotherapy, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy) as well as joining an established group of Arts Psychotherapists who work across community and inpatient CAMHS.
Applicants must be a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and registered with their professional body.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to the multidisciplinary care and treatment of young people admitted to inpatient CAMHS.
To work effectively with a range of other professionals within the MDT, providing a high level of good communication with staff and service users.
To contribute to the therapeutic milieu on the inpatient lodges.
To offer Arts Psychotherapy to young people admitted to inpatient CAMHS through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual and group therapy intervention/sessions as appropriate.
To take part in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice for arts psychotherapies in the inpatient CAMHS service.
To participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the Arts Psychotherapy service for children and young people.
To contribute to the maintenance and development of the Arts Psychotherapies service within Psychological Services, within Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
