An exciting opportunity for sponsorship has arisen to join the 0-19 Service at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialist Community Public Health (SCPHN) Student Health Visitor. This post is subject to securing funding.

The post holder will be a key member of the 0-19 Health Visiting Service delivering the Healthy Child Programme to children, young people and families. The 0-19 Health Visiting Team are a fantastic team, who work in partnership with other agencies to promote and protect the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities.
The Student Health Visitor will be motivated to meet the demands of the SCPHN course and demonstrate a commitment to succeed.
The maximum salary will be mid-point band 5 salary upto £30,639 per annum.
Main duties of the job
The Student Health Visitor will be responsible for:
Undertaking University based learning as required by the Sheffield Hallam University SCPHN course (Health Visitor).
Undertaking practice-based learning to achieve the NMC standards of proficiency for specialist practice.
Building on existing health care knowledge and experience with a focus on the needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable people and the recognition of health inequalities.
Developing the knowledge and skills required for a safe, effective and transformational 0-19 Service.

- Working with individuals, families, and communities to assess and identify their health and health related needs.
- Supporting and empowering individuals, families, and communities to take appropriate action to influence health care.
- Delivering evidence-based care to individuals, families, and communities in a variety of settings e.g., home environments, clinics, schools, youth clubs, childrens centers.
- Continuously evaluating and reviewing health related packages of care in partnership with service users and other stakeholders.
