Job summary
The Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Motivated and Hard working applicant for our Hotel Services Catering Supervisor/Deputy Head Cook position.
The successfully candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills; they will need to have a positive attitude and flexible to meet the need of the busy department.
This role will be 35 hours per week and will include working some weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
To support the Catering manager and Head Cook with the day to day provision of catering services across the Acute site and food safety, including staff and production supervision.
To assist with various support service duties when called upon to ensure service delivery.

Responsible for the day to day operation of catering services, including special and ethnic dietsPlanning and costing of menus where appropriate and ensuring appropriate stock levels to enable production/ resale.Responsible for the maintenance and high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the Catering department.Responsible as part of the Supervising team for the production of a high standard and safe patient, staff and visitors food service.To monitor workload and workforce resources on a day to day basis.They must be able to deal with patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant and co-operative manner.
