Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced person to act as the Pharmacy Systems Manager and Data Analyst. A challenging post that would be ideally suited to someone who is interested in Pharmacy IT systems.
The Pharmacy department provides a forward thinking service to the patients of the Trust, making it a highly rewarding working environment. You will be working in the pharmacy EPMA team providing a crucial service maintaining the digital systems used by our pharmacy team.
You will have an NVQ 3 / BTEC in pharmaceutical science and / or NVQ3 or equivalent in computer or IT sciences. You will have post-qualification experience in a hospital environment and proven experience and knowledge of hospital systems including IT experience equivalent to a system manager. You will be an accomplished problem solver, using different techniques appropriate to different circumstances, and have an ability to analyse information and use judgement to overcome information gaps. You will have the ability to work within deadlines, to work well under pressure and will have excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Pharmacy's IT systems, including the CMM pharmacy stock control system.
You will provide training on pharmacy related IT systems and implement a planned replacement programme for IT equipment.
You will provide financial reports, act as the named Information Governance lead for Pharmacy and Information Asset Administrator for the pharmacy IT systems.
You will ensure system resilience and data integrity through the provision of comprehensive and robust back up and contingency strategies.
