Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a permanentHCPC registered (or soon to be registered) Healthcare/Clinical Scientist within Sheffield Diagnostic Genetics Service (SDGS). Applications from registered Clinical Scientists from other STP disciplines and final year STP trainees are welcomed.
Main duties of the job
This vacancy is within Oncology and Rare Disease Services. The posts are subject to rotation between services in the laboratory. The post holders will have the opportunity to develop highly marketable knowledge, skills and further qualifications such as FRCPath via HSST etc.
To manage a substantial workload, a large service or group of services on a rotational basis. To supervise staff within the group on a day-to-day basis. To be responsible for a role within the department such as management of an aspect of CPA, quality management, Sendaways or EQA for examples.
The successful applicant will have appropriate HCPC registration (or be close to completing STP training), will be prepared to train in new areas, be excellent communicators and contribute well to teamwork.
