Job summary

Following the 2025 ministerial announcement, Airedale General Hospital has been confirmed as part of the first priority phase of the Government's New Hospital Programme (NHP), recognising the urgent structural challenges posed by RAAC across the estate. This prioritisation ensures Airedale is among the first wave of hospitals to benefit from the Government's commitment to modernising NHS infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PMO Office Managerto support the smooth running of the Securing the Future (StF) Programme, ensuring the smooth co-ordination of programme administration, governance and reporting, and office management processes. The role will involve working across the whole Programme, supporting senior programme leads and the teams to ensure they can work effectively.

The role is part of the Securing the Future Programme team, based at Airedale General Hospital, with flexible and agile working options. Some off-site travel may be required to support local events and activities.

Main duties of the job

This role ensures the smooth running of daily operations and provides high-quality administrative, organisational, and systems support to a fast-paced programme team. The postholder will coordinate the scheduling, set-up, and administration of a wide range of governance, delivery, and team meetings--working closely with senior leaders, PMs, and corporate colleagues to circulate materials, track actions, and maintain accurate records. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with senior staff are essential.

The successful candidate will lead on maintaining core office systems (IT, procurement, invoicing, directories, leave and training records), ensuring the team has the tools and support needed. They will oversee the Programme MS Teams site, ensuring information is well-managed and compliant with governance protocols. They will also support finance and procurement processes, including requisitions, Oracle input, event booking, and travel coordination, liaising with Procurement and Finance colleagues. The role requires initiative, discretion, and professionalism.

This post suits a highly organised and proactive individual with strong communication and IT skills, and experience supporting large programmes or senior teams. Confidence working independently, managing competing priorities, and engaging across departments is essential.
