Are you a Band 5 looking for a development post in the field of infection prevention and control or a Band 6 with relevant experience/qualification in infection prevention and control?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Infection Prevention Nurse to join our dedicated Infection Prevention Team to deliver specialist advice, education and services within Airedale NHS Hospital Foundation Trust.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate others, have appropriate clinical and managerial experience at ward or department level and be computer literate. You must also have good organisational skills and be able to demonstrate you can work individually or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A clear development plan will be put in place for any successful candidate at Band 5 on how to progress into the Band 6 role.
Main duties of the job
- Support the provision of comprehensive infection prevention and control services to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and associated health care providers.
- Support, develop and implement systems to improve the quality of infection prevention and control management by the delivery of national directives to develop local quality, patient safety and safe systems of working for staff.
- Provide specialist advice on infection prevention and control practice
