Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead the paediatric audiology service at Airedale General Hospital.
The specialist paediatric audiologist will deliver high quality complex care to the paediatric population as well as leading and developing the service alongside the Audiology service manager.
The post holder will be responsible for the diagnosis and management of children with hearing loss and will be expected to perform a range of specialist audiometric investigations on children from birth to adulthood as well as those children with complex / additional needs.
Main duties of the job
- To be a clinical specialist and directly responsible for a designated Paediatric caseload of non-routine patients with complex and highly complex hearing disorders.
- To perform highly specialised diagnostic testing on paediatric caseload - to include diagnostic ABR, diagnostic OAE, speech testing, RECD, REM and audiometric behavioural testing
- To actively lead the operation of the specialised Paediatric Audiology service which will include special responsibilities as allocated by the Audiology Service Manager
