Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Patient Experience team as Matron for Patient Experience and Engagement
This is a key critical role, within the Trust and we are looking forward to working with somebody who is innovative, a great communicator and strives for positive patient experiences.
The main function will be to provide leadership and direction to the Patient Experience Team to ensure they are delivering on the needs of the organisation for patient experience and engagement.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership, a positive outlook, analytical skills, enthusiasm and the ability to learn and develop new skills.
The Matron will lead and develop the patient experience and voluntary services team to ensure that positive patient experience is embedded across the organisation.
This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Provide outstanding nursing leadership across the Trust, working with the senior nursing and AHP leaders to ensure delivery of high-quality care and a positive patient experience.
Lead and manage the patient experience team, work with divisional teams to learning from feedback both formal and informal, encompassing the patient and family voice to embed a just and learning culture, promoting professional curiosity, and creating a positive learning environment.
To work collaboratively with the Directorate Management Teams to provide expert advice and guidance on all patient experience matters.
To lead and develop a safe, skilled, and competent workforce working in collaboration with the divisional operational and nursing teams, ensuring the implementation of an effective plan for continuing professional development.
Support clinical teams on the operational delivery of the key priorities set out in the trust quality and safety strategy and the patient experience strategy, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and personalised care that is evidenced based and meets the needs of the local population.
Liaise with Legal Services to advise of any complaints that may result in the complainant making a financial claim.
Consult with and supply information to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) when require
