Job summary
Due to retirement a rare opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Director's Office to support established medical staff with appraisal, revalidation, and job planning.
Supporting the Responsible Officer and other members of the team, you will coordinate the trust's approach to aspects of professional practice including appraisal, study leave, and the wider management of the education centre facility.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post is:
To coordinate the activities required of the Appraisal, Performance and Outcomes (APO) Unit and the APO Operational Group in accordance with the Trust's Appraisal Policy.
Administer study leave for EMS in accordance with the Trust's Professional & Study Leave Policy.
Support the RO and the Revalidation Team to ensure that robust systems and process are in place such that the RO is able to discharge their responsibilities in a comprehensive and timely way.
To liaise with the Trust's postgraduate education team in relation to performance and revalidation issues involving a trainee whilst in placement at the Trust.
To coordinate the activities of the Job Planning Framework Group and Job Planning Scrutiny Group to ensure that the Job Planning Process at the Trust is delivered in accordance with the Trust's Job Planning Framework Policy
To assist with the input of Job Planning information to the Trust's Job Planning IT systems and to assist with training on the on-going use of the system.
To liaise with the HR department on aspects of recruitment, performance and other concerns relating to established medical staff, including the maintenance of an up to date RO list
