Digital Lead – Securing the Future (Band 8c)
This job is now closed
Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Lead to join us in developing our plans for a new hospital for Airedale. On 25 May 2023, the Government announced that Airedale General Hospital will be rebuilt by 2030, in recognition of the current structural issues facing the existing hospital.
This is a once in a generation opportunity to be involved in a major hospital development and we are seeking an enthusiastic Digital Lead to join our team and help to take our scheme forward.
The postholder will be comfortable operating in an environment of significant complexity and ambiguity, and be adept at fostering collaboration within the operating environment as well as demonstrating good judgement, offering guidance and support. They will role model behaviours that live our organisational values of collaboration, even-handedness, involvement, and impact, and encourage similar behaviours in colleagues.
The programme team is a newly developing team and will be based at Airedale General Hospital whilst offering a range of flexible and agile working opportunities. There is likely to be a small amount of off-site travel to support local events and activities as required.
Main duties of the job
The Digital Lead role is an exciting position that will lead the implementation of Digital transformation within the design of the New Hospital and use Digital where appropriate to enable Digital change and maximise the use of the tools available. Alongside the Trust's existing Digital leadership and transformation team, the Digital lead will work with clinical and operational teams within the Trust and with wider system partners to improve patient access, support the integration of technological solutions to help operational teams manage workload, improve staff and patient satisfaction, and improve the efficiency and sustainability of the services delivered by the Trust on site and off site.
The post holder will lead on planning for Digital solutions for the New Hospital, using robust data, Quality Improvement (QI) and the Trust's transformational change processes to coordinate and directly support the delivery of digital transformation activity across the project through optimising digital tools, operational processes, pathways, new ways of working and embed digital transformation and change. The post holder will also support new hospital colleagues in identifying costs and financial implications of utilising any digital tools.
